Beta license

Brut's beta is licensed, not sold, and every seat is personal. This is the full text of the beta license: the installer shows it, and the app asks you to accept it once after your first sign-in (again only when it changes). Licensor: Hugues REBAY, Antibes, France. Questions: contact@getbrut.app.

BRUT - BETA END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

Software: Brut, the desktop application and its bundled engine ("the Software")

By installing or using the Software, or by clicking "I accept" in the
application, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, do not
install or use the Software.

1. LICENSE GRANT
I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license
to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, for your own
use during the beta program. The Software is licensed, not sold.

2. YOUR SEAT IS PERSONAL
Your beta seat is tied to the email address your approval was sent to. It
is for you alone. Do not give the installer, your download link, or your
account to anyone else. If someone you know wants to try Brut, ask them to
register on getbrut.app and I will review their application.

3. RESTRICTIONS
You may NOT:
  a) redistribute, publish, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise
     share the Software or your access to it, in whole or in part;
  b) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to
     derive the source code of the Software, except to the extent such a
     restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  c) modify the Software or create derivative works of it;
  d) remove or alter any proprietary notices in the Software.

4. YOUR KEYS, YOUR DATA
The Software is bring-your-own-key and local-first. Your provider API keys
are stored in your operating system's credential store and are only ever
sent to the corresponding provider. Your projects, graphs, and generated
outputs are stored on your own disk. You are solely responsible for the
costs your provider accounts incur and for complying with each provider's
terms of service. Uninstalling the Software does not delete your data.

5. ACCOUNT AND TELEMETRY
Use of the Software requires a Brut account. While you are signed in, the
Software sends a small heartbeat: an install identifier, the application
and engine versions, your operating system and its version, your CPU
architecture, a timestamp, and the version of this license you accepted.
Never your prompts, images, keys, or outputs. The exact payload is shown in
the application under Settings > Account.

6. FEEDBACK
If you send me suggestions, ideas, or bug reports about the Software, I may
use them freely, without any obligation or compensation to you. That is how
a beta improves.

7. BETA SOFTWARE - NO WARRANTY
The Software is pre-release software provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE",
without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability,
fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Features may change
or be removed at any time.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I shall not be liable for any
indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for
any loss of profits, data, or provider spend, arising from or related to
your use of the Software. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that
cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Software, including its code, prompts, presets, catalogs, and branding,
is and remains the property of Hugues REBAY and is protected by copyright
law. Copyright (c) 2026 Hugues REBAY. No rights are granted except as
expressly stated in this agreement.

10. GOVERNING LAW
This agreement is governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be
settled amicably falls under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of
the licensor's place of residence, Antibes, France, without prejudice to
any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you.

11. TERMINATION
This license terminates automatically if you breach it, or when the beta
program ends. Upon termination you must uninstall the Software. Sections 4
and 6 through 10 survive termination.

12. GENERAL
This agreement is the entire agreement regarding the beta Software. If any
provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. I may
publish an updated version of this agreement; the application will ask you
to accept it again before continuing.
