Google Veo

Google's Veo 3.1 video models, for both image-to-video and text-to-video.

#The key: it rides your Gemini key

Veo uses the same Google key as Gemini by default — if you've added a Gemini key, Veo just works, no second key to enter. Settings shows it uses your Gemini key.

You only add a dedicated Veo key (in ⚙ Settings → Google Veo) when you want to separate the billing from Gemini; a Veo-specific key wins over the Gemini one if set.

#Models

Veo 3.1 in three tiers: Veo 3.1, 3.1 Fast and 3.1 Lite. All do image-to-video (with an optional end frame) and text-to-video. Set duration and resolution on the node; the node shows a cost estimate before you run.

#Google's rules, applied on the node

Google has rules of its own; Brut applies them before any call:

• 1080p and 4K render at 8 s only. The Resolution and Duration selects grey the picks that cannot go together, in place, with the reason on hover, and a ⚠ line under the selects says what to change; your current pick is never swapped behind your back. 4K exists on Veo 3.1 and 3.1 Fast only (not on Lite); its estimate comes from Google's own price list ($0.60 and $0.30 per second, audio included) until a clip has run. On Film Shots, where the durations come from the plan, a 1080p pick snaps every clip to 8 s, the line under the select says so, and the itemized confirm lists the 8 s rows.
• Reference images need 8 s clips. With references wired, 4 s and 6 s grey out.
• Audio is always on. Google offers no audio switch: every clip comes with sound and bills the audio rate, so the box shows ticked and greyed. A graph saved with the switch off is sent with audio, and the Activity panel says so. Through OpenRouter the switch still works, silent clips included.
• A request that still breaks a rule (an older graph, a hand-written plan) fails before the call, naming the fix: never a provider error for a combination the node could have refused.

The Veo video prompt preset on Refine writes prompts in Veo's own film vocabulary; put exclusions in the node's negative-prompt field as plain nouns rather than in the prompt.
